bye Nampa, hello Boise

Grant writing workshop/roller pigeons/move to Boise

Well there were some nice parts about Nampa; the Civic Center where the workshop was held had banquet rooms, a theatre and nice grounds with an ornamental fountain and lots of trees to provide shade for our car and the pussy cats, but I didn't get to see the Warhawk Museum (restored warplanes) which is out at Nampa airport and we didn't visit the winery. So I will have to go back there while we are still in the area. They say the grapes around Nampa have got better so the wine should be worth trying.

We are staying with Bonnie's brother Dick and his wife Betty. They have a nice home that looks North to the mountains and Dick's pigeon house where he has roller pigeons, they tumble as they circle overhead(you've got to see it to believe it).

So the workshop was worth attending. There was a lot of material to cover and some of it was skipped but I got the gist of it. We are bringing home workbooks and handouts. The presentation was rather dry at times it could have done with a wee dram of Scotch whiskey mixed in with it or maybe some Jim Beam bourbon.

Miss Ashton and Greentimber; it is hot over here 101 deg yesterday.

End-----------------
